Any candidate with a degree in Civil Engineering can be appointed as Assistant Manager, Senior Engineer, Project Manager, Director of Public Works, Researchers, City Engineer, Deputy Engineer and Independent Consultants. These roles can be performed within the technical specialty branches of Civil Engineering like Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, Ocean and Coastal Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Urban Engineering.

Candidate should have passed 10th Standard
Lateral Entry in Polytechnic :
Candidate should have passed 12th with Science subjects or with vocational/technical subjects or 10 + 2 years ITI with appropriate specialization.
If, after exhaustion of the general merit list of the candidates from Uttrakhand State there are some seats vacant in the unaided polytechnic, the candidates from the other states and Union Territories may be considered by preparing a separate merit list of these candidates these admissions shall be done by the Director/Principal(Roorkee College of Polytechnic, Roorkee)
