Industrial Visit to BHEL (HEEP Heavy Electricals Equipments Plant):
The Heavy Electricals Equipment Plant (HEEP) is one of the major manufacturing units of BHEL. The core business of HEEP includes design and manufacture of large size steam and gas turbines, turbo generators, heat exchangers, condensers and auxiliaries. HEEP have been awarded certificates for Quality Systems (ISO-9001:2008) Environment(ISO-14001) and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO-18001.

Industrial Visit to Govt Irrigation Workshop Roorkee|:
Govt. Irrigation workshop is the oldest workshop established in 1843 by Britishers for Hydro Mechanical/Irrigation Projects/Foundry Jobs.

Campus Placement Drive by Pingaksho Technologies Inc., Mohali:
Campus Placement drive of Pingaksho Technologies Inc, Mohali based Software Company, for B.Tech – (CSE/ECE) III Year Students was on 05th May 2014. We feel immense pleasure and gratitude in the campus selection of 25 students from RCP.

Industrial Visit to Shree Inderbhan Industries (Keystone Water Plant):
About 75% of the fat free mass of the human body is made of water. To function properly, the body requires between one and seven litres of water per day to avoid dehydration; the precise amount depends on the level of activity, temperature, humidity, and other factors. Shree Inderbhan Industries's Keystone Water Plant is providing Mineral Water and Packaged drinking water to their clients.

PHP Workshop by Win-technology:
Win-technology organised a workshop at Roorkee College of Engineering, Roorkee on 23.10.2013 and 24.10.2013. Approximately 65 students from CSE and ECE (Second and Third Year) participated in the workshop. Topics covered during the workshop are PHP and web development. The workshop was found excellent & the students will definitely utilize the knowledge shared by Mr. Jitendra Joshi from Win-Technology in future.

Workshop by Beta Soft Systems:
Beta Soft Systems, Chandigarh organised a workshop at Roorkee College of Engineering, Roorkee on 26.09.2013 and 27.09.2013. Approximately 100 students from CSE and ECE (First, Second and Third Year) participated in the workshop. Topic covered during the workshop are Android, JAVA and PHP. The workshop was found excellent & the students will definitely utilize the knowledge shared by Beta Soft people in future.

Industrial Visit to Ambuja Cements:
Ambuja Cements Ltd. (ACL) is one of the leading cement manufacturing companies in India. The Company, initially called Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd., was founded by Narotam Sekhsaria in 1983 with a partner, Suresh Neotia. Sekhsaria’s business acumen and leadership skills put the company on a fast track to growth. The Company commenced cement production in 1986. The global cement major Holcim acquired management control of ACL in 2006. Holcim today holds little over 50% equity in ACL. The Company is currently known as Ambuja Cements Ltd. Our students visited the following plant of Ambuja Cements Ltd.

A Placement Orientation Program is scheduled at Roorkee College of Engineering(RCP) on 17th September 2013 for the students of pre-final year students of B.Tech. and Polytechnic. A placement orientation program is where a student applies his/her knowledge to practice, learns key skills and achieves the required competencies for the placement activities. This program will help you to think about your placement so that you can get the best from it as well as help you look at what you bring to the placement and what you can expect in terms of your learning experience.
